The Black Belt in Lean Training Program participants visit the Toyota Parts Center in Diest, Belgium.

As part of our Black Belt in Lean Training & Certification Program, the students of the 7th Edition visited the Toyota Parts Center in Diest, Belgium. An extensive tour on the shopfloor (‘go to gemba’) showed the implementation of Lean/TPS principles and tools in a logistics/service environment, followed by a passionate presentation of the process analysis and improvement approach by a local Kaizen specialist.
Some impression of the participants:

- “interesting to see how all can be made visual in a simple, low budget way with paper, cardboard and labels”
- “industrial engineering/work study techniques are also in a logistical environment an essential part of the TPS approach”
For those interested: the 8th Edition of our Black Belt in Lean Training & Certification Program (in Dutch), with active contribution of Toyota, will start on the 6th of May 2013 in Antwerpen, Belgium.
